- ➤ Mid-Michigan venues offer a range of events this first weekend of 2026. The Harlem Globetrotters mark their 100th season Friday at 7 p.m. in Saginaw, while bridal shows, a punk rock show, folkloric dance and an astronomy screening round out options in Bay City and Flint. MLive

- ➤ Starting Jan. 1, a new tax rule may let tipped workers in Michigan keep more cash in their paychecks. Lawmakers have updated withholding guidelines to provide added relief for those earning tips. WNEM
