  • State data on Saginaw County’s 2018 high school graduates shows a wide gap in four-year college completion by 2024 — Frankenmuth led with 57% while Bridgeport-Spaulding posted just 3.2%, and eight of 12 districts fell below the 31.73% state average.  MLive
  • Major Chords for Minors will now offer half-hour music lessons for adults at $20 to help fund its free youth programs in Saginaw. The nonprofit plans to expand its offerings with workshops and extra educators while keeping free lessons for students grades three to 12.  MLive

  • State regulators in Lansing ordered Comcast to explain its failure to mark underground infrastructure after 35,721 dig requests went unanswered last year; the cable company must reply by Feb. 5 and may face fines of up to nearly $179 million if it does not meet the three-day marking rule.  MLive
