- ➤ State data reveals that Essexville Hampton Public Schools led Bay County with 37.7% of its 2018 graduates earning a four-year degree by 2024 (above the state average), while Pinconning Area Schools recorded 25%. MLive

- ➤ State Rep. Mike Hoadley submitted a plan on Jan. 22 to seek a $2.5 million grant for critical improvements at Trout Lake. The proposal will advance once funding is confirmed. WNEM
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ During extreme cold, fire officials advise residents to keep space heaters three feet from items (a key safety tip) and unplug them when not in use to avoid fire and carbon monoxide risks. They recommend plugging heaters directly into the wall and having backup shelter if power fails. WNEM
