- ➤ The Saginaw-based youth group HELP received $700,000 in federal funding and will use it to expand school mentorship programs for vulnerable youths. The funds are part of a federal community project designed to prevent violence — the group was founded in 2023. MLive

- ➤ Raising Cane’s is starting construction in Kochville following the demolition of a former Lover’s Lane store. Local officials are planning public hearings on data center regulations in Kochville and Saginaw Township while Court Street Theater reopens after restoration — other business updates continue to drive local development. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Walmart will pay $100 million to address deceptive practices in its Spark Driver program. The deal requires Walmart to pay at least $890,000 to Michigan drivers & mandates annual FTC reports for 10 years. ABC 12
- ➤ The Michigan Natural Resources Commission set rules for year-round coyote hunting starting Monday on public and private lands. Trapping is banned on public lands and parks remain off limits from April 1 to Sept. 14 — dog hunts are banned from April 16 to July 7. ABC 12
