Good morning, Saginaw.

Strong winds and pea-sized hail knocked out power for thousands of mid-Michigan homeowners on Saturday morning — among them 1,173 in Saginaw County, while Consumers Energy estimated that crews would restore power by Sunday night.

Detroit Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek — who struggled in Chicago — earned his 26th shutout during a three to zero win over the Vegas Golden Knights at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday as coach Todd McLellan stuck with him.

Mrazek said his recent games helped him regain his swagger and gave the team confidence as they prepare for their challenge in Washington on Tuesday.
