- ➤ Every cat at Saginaw County Animal Care & Control (SCACC) was adopted over the weekend during the St. Patrick’s Day pet adoption event. Officials said the event gave each cat the chance to find a loving new home. WNEM
- ➤ The Cathedral of Faith Church is launching a male mentorship program (The Forge) at its Flint and Saginaw campuses to offer guidance to young men in the community. ABC 12

- ➤ A large tree fell on a Saginaw woman's house Saturday and city inspectors ordered an emergency demolition because the house posed a danger to nearby homes—community members later searched through the debris to recover family treasures. ABC 12
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Two Saginaw City officials—a council member and a council candidate—were charged with conspiracy, election law forgery and other felonies after surveillance video showed the council member allegedly falsifying petition signatures on July 23 at city hall, and the case was forwarded to the Michigan Attorney General’s Office with a pretrial date pending.
