- ➤ Board and Brush in Saginaw will host a Make & Take event on Saturday, Mar. 28, offering residents hands-on painting projects at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Participants must sign up ahead of time & children are welcome. WNEM
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Saginaw will host its annual Student Government Day Monday, March 23, where local high school students will learn about government operations from city staff and elected officials. The event starts at 8 a.m. at the Water Treatment Plant and continues with a fire demonstration, a police K-9 visit, and lunch at the American Legion, Post No. 22. WNEM
- ➤ Residents in Saginaw Township are invited to a Q&A session tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Sherwood Elementary School, where district leaders will explain a revised $94 million school bond proposal after last November's rejected $160 million request. Mid-Michigan NOW

- ➤ Dow Credit Union’s Saginaw branch reached its 1,000th member milestone over two years after opening and is now inviting nominations for a $1,000 donation to a local nonprofit. - ➤ The Great Lakes Bay Region Mental Health Partnership at CMU Health has announced a free fundraiser on Friday, April 17 at Horizons Conference Center, where suicide loss survivor Tess Kurik and a Midland school representative will share stories to boost mental health awareness + resilience. - ➤ Local health officials in Saginaw, Midland, and Bay counties warn residents of a rising measles risk as spring travel begins with over 1,300 confirmed cases nationwide.
