- ➤ Tri-Star Trust will open a 4,000 sqft office in downtown Bay City this fall at 812 N. Water in the Mill End Building — a location across from Wenonah Park along the Saginaw River, where Rob Clark serves as market director. MLive
- ➤ Chil_Space will host its grand opening today at Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw Township from noon to 4 p.m.—the new private event venue offers food, drinks, games, and tours for meetings and parties. MLive
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Saginaw City Hall will host Student Government Day on Monday, March 23, starting at 8 a.m. with a mock meeting at the Water Treatment Plant (tradition); students will tour a fire station, police K-9 display and join a City Council meeting at the Andersen Enrichment Center at noon. MLive
- ➤ Saginaw Township schools will launch in June an energy conservation project that will upgrade eight school buildings with LED lights (saving over $7 million in lifetime savings) and an energy management system; the district will reinvest savings into educational programs using sinking funds along with a potential bond proposal. - ➤ Bay-Arenac ISD and the Region 5 MiFamily Engagement Center hosted a literacy workshop on Thursday, March 19 in Bay City to show parents, educators, and early childhood professionals how everyday routines like talking and singing build language skills (attendees included representatives from Head Start, Starting Strong, Early On, and Help Me Grow).
