  • Bavarian Blast Waterpark in Frankenmuth has been named one of the top 20 indoor waterparks nationally + holds third spot as votes continue rolling in; supporters can cast a vote each day until April 20.  MLive

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Fire Chief Elmer Wilson of Mt. Morris Township was injured in a collision on Friday, March 27 when another driver ran a stop sign — he suffered multiple fractures and complications, underwent emergency surgery, and is now recovering with support from his team and a fundraiser for his medical costs.  WNEM

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Delta College's Board of Trustees has shortlisted three candidates for the next college president: Dr. Michelle Allmendinger, Dr. Adam Cloutier, and Dr. Reva Curry. Public forums will be held next week (April 6–10) at the college's main campus Lecture Theater.  ABC 12
  • Saginaw Public Schools will replace over 12,000 light fixtures with LED in 12 schools, three district service facilities, and administrative offices — a project starting early April and finishing late August to cut energy costs and boost learning conditions.  ABC 12

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Saginaw Probate Judge Patrick McGraw, featured in the new Behind the Bench series, said his long service taught him to listen more and talk less—wisdom rooted in a family legacy in law. He stressed that in-person hearings are key for community connection at the courthouse.  MLive

SPORTS NEWS

  • Lions president Rod Wood declined further comment on recouping part of Frank Ragnow's bonus after his retirement; the decision was discussed at an NFL owners' meeting and has sparked debate among former players + fans regarding the team's bonus repayment practices.  MLive
