- ➤ The Saginaw County Sheriff's Office said 35-year-old Nicholas Hughes from Hemlock lost control of his car near Swan Creek Road in Lakefield Township around 5:30 p.m. and hit a tree on the east side of Meridian Road — he was pronounced dead on the scene. ABC 12

- ➤ Saginaw police identified a 30-year-old man, Corin Mitchell Skinner, who died on Sunday after officers arrived at the 2100 block of Delaware Street around 7:00 p.m., following a call about his knife-wielding suicide threat and refusal to obey orders, which led to multiple unsuccessful taser deployments and the discharge of service weapons in self-defense. - ➤ Ann Turnbow (18) pleaded guilty to manslaughter and operating without a license causing death in a drunken driving crash that killed Saginaw man 29-year-old Jalen Tarver in 2023. MLive

- ➤ The Castle Museum of Saginaw County History has unveiled a display on Positive Results Downtown Saginaw that shows its 50-year role in planning events like Friday Night Live and local parades. - ➤ Weekend storms left power outages widespread in the Great Lakes Bay Region as Consumers Energy reported 1,151 outages in southern Saginaw County and Genesee County had nearly 9,000 outages — while power was restored in Isabella, Bay and Midland counties and DTE Energy reported about 265 outages. Governor Whitmer declared a state of emergency for ten northern counties hit by ice storms and southern areas faced damaging winds and four confirmed tornadoes — utility crews continue working to restore service.
