- ➤ Due to wet weather, the Old Town Saginaw Association moved its popular Easter egg hunt from the Saginaw County Courthouse lawn to the YMCA on Fordney Street today. The event starts at noon with 24,000 eggs for kids. WNEM
- ➤ Gotto Park (named for longtime commissioner Gotto Kabobel) at 3100 N. Center Road reopened after a $175K makeover that added new play equipment and improved accessibility for local children. Completed on March 9 and funded by Saginaw Township, the park is located behind Zauel Library. MLive
- ➤ Three Greater Midland facilities will receive new youth fitness equipment this summer through a $4,919 Kiwanis grant & installations include a climbing wall for classes at the North Family Center, a foam mat for cheer practice at the Community Center, and tumbling mats for early childhood play. - ➤ Saginaw County invites local artists to submit mural designs celebrating 250 Years of Freedom, Unity and History at the governmental center at 111 S. Michigan Ave — entries are due by Apr. 27 with prizes of $500 and $250 provided. MLive

- ➤ SVSU is hosting a Writing the Constitution event on Friday, Apr. 10, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Zahnow Library Writing Center to honor America’s 250th anniversary; campus and community members may hand-copy the U.S. Constitution and enjoy light snacks. ABC 12
- ➤ High school students have until Friday, Apr. 17 to apply for $500 scholarships to attend Northwood University’s summer entrepreneurship camp at its Midland campus; the week-long LAB Week runs from June 14 to 19 and offers hands-on business learning with local leaders. MLive
