- ➤ Saginaw scrap metal recycler David Rifkin of Rifkin Scrap Iron and Metal Co. said copper prices fell by 40 cents per pound (an 8 percent decrease) on Friday amid tariff uncertainty (which made mills hesitant to buy). - ➤ Governor Whitmer launched a new webpage with a facilities map to show local shelters, gas stations, and mobile oxygen generators for residents still dealing with the March 30th ice storm. - ➤ After heavy rains left pockets of standing water, officials from the Saginaw County Mosquito Abatement Commission said aerial treatments of woodlots of at least five acres will soon target spring mosquitoes. The program will shift to street-level treatments in May to help reduce biting. WNEM
