- ➤ Saginaw Control & Engineering is expanding operations in Saginaw and Thomas Townships by building a 230,000 sqft facility that will generate at least 95 new jobs and $50M in investment, supported by a Michigan Strategic Fund grant and planned tax abatements. WNEM
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Birch Run Area Schools will ask voters on May 5 to approve a $17.8 million bond to upgrade classrooms + safety features and modernize infrastructure without raising the 2.6 mill rate. Absentee ballots will be available for those who cannot vote in person. Mid-Michigan NOW
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Michigan Department of Transportation has closed the intersection of eastbound M-58 (State Street) and Brenner Street today for additional storm sewer repairs. Eastbound traffic is detoured onto westbound Davenport Avenue and the intersection is expected to reopen Friday, April 17, weather permitting. WNEM

- ➤ Former patient Kathy Cozad's donation via her foundation provided MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw with a True Fitness Gravity Recumbent Bike (with LCD screen) and gas cards to help patients access cardiopulmonary rehab after her treatment on April 13.
