- ➤ The City released results April 15 on a survey of Ojibway Island showing nearly 1,300 locals favor reopening vehicle access with 56% wanting regular access and some supporting limited hours. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two tornadoes were confirmed by the National Weather Service after Tuesday night's storms in Saginaw County; an EF-1 tornado damaged homes and farm buildings along Bishop Road while an EF-0 tornado near Bridgeport briefly affected barns and siding early Tuesday (11:53 p.m. to 12:08 a.m.) with no injuries reported. - ➤ Arrowwood Elementary closed Wednesday, April 15 due to flooding from a storm, and all activities were canceled as officials assess class schedules. - ➤ A Flood Watch remains in effect today for southeastern Michigan after 1.5 to 4.5 inches of rain in the past 10 days added to forecasts of showers through tonight, raising flood risk in low-lying areas across Saginaw and nearby counties. ABC 12
- ➤ Severe storms have left over 60,000 households without power across Mid-Michigan. Utility crews are working to restore service today — residents should check with local providers for updates. WNEM
- ➤ An overnight storm on April 15 caused significant wind damage to about a dozen structures in Albee Township along Bishop Road and Alicia as National Weather Service personnel and emergency crews inspect possible tornado impacts (with only minor injuries reported) while residents are urged to steer clear of affected areas.
