- ➤ Over the weekend the Saginaw Children’s Zoo reported that its critically endangered baby cotton-top tamarin died + staff did everything possible to care for it. WNEM
- ➤ BWell Boutique at the Saginaw County Health Department offers free dresses, shoes and jewelry for prom and formal events. The boutique (open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) now has nearly 600 donated items to help anyone attend special occasions. ABC 12
- ➤ Saginaw Children’s Zoo is caring for Butters, an African penguin chick that hatched early in mid-March and received tube feeding before reuniting with his parents — a step that supports efforts to conserve this endangered species while the zoo recently unveiled its new Wild In Nature building featuring close-up animal exhibits. - ➤ On Saturday, May 2, 270 Swan Valley students celebrated their Black and Gold Masquerade prom at Golden Glow Ballroom with dinner, a photo station, and a DJ. MLive

- ➤ Voters in Saginaw Township Community Schools rejected a $94.2 million bond request for upgrades (a scaled-down proposal from previous years) amid heated online discussions, prompting Superintendent Jamie Kraatz to urge calm. ABC 12

- ➤ The Rotary Club of Birch Run and Birch Run Premium Outlets are hosting an electronics recycling drop-off at the Nike parking lot near Bob Evans from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. Most items are free, but televisions and monitors cost $20 (appointments required). MLive
