- ➤ The Downtown Saginaw Farmers’ Market will open May 21 at SVRC Marketplace, 203 S. Washington Ave—running every Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Oct. 31. Registration is open for the Fresh Food Access Bag Program, which provides fresh produce with Monday pick-ups starting July 7 and no pick-up on Sept. 1 due to Labor Day. MLive
- ➤ Shop Sensational Saginaw will be held Friday, June 6th, through Sunday, June 8th at the SVRC Marketplace in downtown Saginaw—organizers are seeking vendors until 6 p.m. Friday, May 24th. The free event will close Water Street to host food trucks, live entertainment, family activities and a Sunday car show. MLive

- ➤ Tomorrow at 5:30 p.m., the Castle Museum at 500 Federal Ave will host 'Unsolved Saginaw: A Look at a Historic Murder Mystery' — museum staff member Katherine Ellison will detail the 1967 murders of Gertrude and Carl Middeldorf and their link to another couple's killing. The event is free and open to all residents. MLive

- ➤ FLTF updated the Special Assessment District map in May to match current tax records, showing revised property owner names and parcel splits while the apportionment percentage remains unchanged. The winter tax bill will include assessments for operations and capital projects with a prepayment option due July 1—an $80 million bond series will be issued in June and a webinar on bond financing is set for July 9. - ➤ Michigan State Police troopers will host 'Troopers on Tour' basketball events to break barriers and build trust in several Michigan communities. - ➤ A Brady Township resident has filed a federal lawsuit alleging local officials tricked him into waiving his Fourth Amendment rights by entering his property after he withdrew consent—video captured township trustee Gregory Corrin, township attorney Adam Flory, and sheriff’s deputy Thomas Latty on April 23.
