- ➤ 35-year-old Nicholas Sakon, the former chief of the Unionville Fire Department, is charged with embezzling between $1,000 and $20,000 from a charity after state police reported that about $5,000 went missing from the account since May 2023 and he faces up to ten years in prison if convicted.
