CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Dustin Robert Haske, 34, was arrested on a freighter in Soo Locks on June 4 and arraigned on June 5 on six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct stemming from a March 2019 incident—he is held on a $150,000 bond in Alpena County Jail and faces up to life in prison if convicted. - ➤ Michigan Lutheran Seminary won its first softball regional title on Saturday at Vestaburg by beating Fowler 8 to 7 after a 7 to 3 win over Mio in the semifinal. The Cardinals posted a 31 win and 10 loss record—despite finishing school two weeks ago—and will play a quarterfinal game on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Ferris State. MLive
