- ➤ Duncan Erving, an 82-year-old from Atlanta in Northern Michigan, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of moving violation causing death after his car hit two Michigan State Police vehicles on January 24, 2024 near Birch Run—killing Trooper Joel Popp and leading to a one-year license suspension.
