  • Michigan State Police served a search warrant at a Saginaw home while vehicles including an armored car were seen at the intersection of Weiss and Barnard—no injuries occurred and authorities resolved the situation peacefully.  WNEM
  • Two victims were released from a hospital while one remains in critical condition after a shooting on Congress Avenue in Saginaw on Tuesday—police responded around 7 p.m. and investigators are still searching for an unknown suspect who fled the scene.  ABC 12
  • The Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office warns residents of a scam where callers claim an outstanding warrant and request payment over the phone—officials stress the department never asks for payment online or by phone—residents should ignore these calls.  WNEM

  • Data shows that over 300 people die each year from drug overdoses in Genesee, Saginaw, Bay, and Midland Counties, and Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet sent a letter urging national officials to boost border checks, train law enforcement in narcotics and overdose response, improve postal drug screening, widen naloxone + fentanyl test strip access, promote mental health care, and use real-time mapping to track overdose spikes.  Mid-Michigan NOW
