  • Great Lakes Loons outfielder Josue De Paula hit a three-run home run that gave the National League a 4-2 win during the MLB Futures Game in Atlanta on July 12—he was named the game MVP as he represented the Los Angeles Dodgers.  MLive
  • During the 101st Bayview Mackinac Race on Saturday, high winds and storms threw two crew members overboard, but they were rescued as eight boats dropped out after damage to their rigs and rudders + the Bayview Yacht Club thanked the U.S. Coast Guard for their quick response.  MLive
