- ➤ A 56-year-old man was arrested on July 16 for allegedly robbing a convenience store at knifepoint on Saginaw’s East Side—he had falsely claimed a few months ago to have been robbed at the same store. MLive
- ➤ Michigan State Police arrested a 56-year-old man after he robbed Fourteenth Street Market at knifepoint around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday+ troopers located him on 13th Street, recovered stolen items, and he now remains in custody at Saginaw County Jail. ABC 12
- ➤ Carrollton Township Police Department warns residents about scam calls where a caller using a police department phone number claims their property is at risk of foreclosure and asks for payment (residents should hang up and report any suspicious calls). WSGW
- ➤ The Michigan Supreme Court declined to review a case after a woman faces felony charges for marijuana possession with intent to deliver while a man charged with growing over 1,000 plants was released under a voter-approved law—highlighting conflicting punishments that critics say need legislative review.
