- ➤ Just before 7 p.m. today, firefighters rushed to a home on the 12000 block of Moorish Road in Taymouth Township where a 79-year-old woman died in a house fire — a county deputy cut his arm breaking a window and police are investigating what started the fire. ABC 12
- ➤ A dirt-bike rider was seriously injured and rushed to a local hospital Sunday night after ignoring a stop sign and colliding with a vehicle near N. Carolina St. and Congress Ave — police continue to investigate the crash. Mid-Michigan NOW

- ➤ The Singh family opened a new Indian grocery store at 7566 Gratiot Road in Thomas Township on April 1 — offering a wide selection of spices, rice, noodles, packaged foods, and produce imported from India.
