- ➤ Kenneth J. Combs, a 47-year-old Saginaw man, threatened a mass shooting at his estranged wife's workplace and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with 62 days already served—plus an extra 87 days held in abeyance—and two years of probation that required him to attend counseling and avoid alcohol and drugs. - ➤ Saginaw police said a 1-year-old named Alonzo Mallett III was fatally shot on Erie Street on August 4 — making him the city's 11th homicide victim this year — while a wounded 25-year-old was released from the hospital as detectives continue to investigate the incident. MLive
