CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Saginaw man named Turan West, 30, was sentenced to 13.5 years in federal prison after he tried to flee a traffic stop and crashed into an ambulance while a handgun was found in his car—highlighting his prior felony convictions. Mid-Michigan NOW
- ➤ On June 30, Saginaw authorities issued a warrant charging 32-year-old Talia C. Teneyuque with felony food stamp fraud after she reportedly used her Bridge Card to buy ingredients and then sold baked goods for profit — a charge that could lead to up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. - ➤ Lorenzo Jones Jr., 18, appeared in court on August 28 after pleading no contest to manslaughter, assault with intent to murder and felony firearm charges for fatally shooting 35-year-old Shardae T. Davenport eight times in April 2022—he is set to serve nearly two decades in prison. MLive
