  • Owner Susan Rowbottom, with 25 years of restaurant experience, bought Levi’s Food and Spirits at 5800 Brockway Road in Saginaw Township earlier this year and will keep its traditional decor—such as the glass encapsulated taxidermied wolf—while offering a refreshed menu that is welcoming for families. The restaurant serves breakfast until 4 p.m. daily and provides a full bar in a spot cherished for four decades.  MLive

  • SVSU began the 2025 season with a 49–28 win over Gannon—senior Michael Jamerson III scored three touchdowns to boost the Cardinals to a 1–1 record.  MLive
  • On Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, Saginaw-area high school football games saw Nouvel Catholic Central defeat Detroit Loyola 41-6 — Midland Dow beat Heritage 49-34 in closely watched contests.  MLive
  • Frankenmuth quarterback Lleyton Hoard threw three touchdown passes to lead his team to a 21-14 win over Swan Valley—earning him the Saginaw Friday Night Hero honor as his father Mat was honored in the Millington Hall of Fame.  MLive
  • On Friday at Furno Field, Millington honored its 2025 Hall of Famers and its 1989 team as part of the Magical History Tour, and the Cardinals beat Standish-Sterling 53-14 to improve to a 2-0 record and stretch their winning streak to 16 games.  MLive
  • Northwood University started its football season with a 23-18 win over Northern Michigan Saturday. Freshman kicker Drew Cady kicked three field goals from 33, 19 and 25 yards to secure the victory.  MLive
