  • Michigan's median household income increased by 4.6% in 2024—twice the national gain—while reaching $72,389 despite the state ranking 37th and falling below the national median of $81,604. The data came from the U.S. Census Bureau.  MLive

SPORTS NEWS

  • Reese won 28-14 over Marlette in the Big Thumb game Friday as Deegan Carter ran for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Carter led a late charge with runs of 69 yards, 34 yards, and 64 yards — his performance turned the game around for the Rockets.  MLive
  • Heritage ended its losing streak with a 42-20 win over Lapeer Friday as Connor Greif completed all six passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for a 21-yard touchdown—giving the team a 42-7 lead in the third quarter. The Hawks secured their first season win with a strong performance—building momentum for the rest of the game.  MLive
