CULTURE NEWS

  • The famous neon Beans bunny sign, which once welcomed Saginaw travelers, was removed in 2021 when a grain elevator was cleared for a new high school; it is now stored with no public plan for its return. Owner Aaron Boese has spent $50,000 moving the sign and will not invest more — leaving local advocates disappointed as plans to bring it back remain unfulfilled.  MLive

HEALTH NEWS

  • At the Saginaw County Fairgrounds in Chesaning, a spooky weekend of racing and costumes raised awareness and funds for families facing congenital heart defects.
