- ➤ 22-year-old boxer Tyrone Welch from Saginaw died after competing in a match at the Gideon Boxing Club on Hancock Street on Saturday—he felt ill following his fight, sought medical care, and died at the hospital while an autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death. ABC 12

- ➤ Saginaw bakery owner Cierra Crudup is growing her business by now offering to-go full-sized cakes with personalized toppers at Delicious Sweets Bakeshop and Krav’n Cookies & Coffee inside SVRC Marketplace+ she will offer flavors like strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate and plans to franchise her cookie brand in the future. - ➤ The Climate Prediction Center forecasts a 71% chance for weak La Niña conditions from October through December in Saginaw—conditions that usually bring cooler air and more rain with near-normal snowfall.
