- ➤ Chipotle Mexican Grill's new restaurant at 5709 State Street in Saginaw Township will open Tuesday, Oct. 14 with daily hours from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is still hiring; it will serve menu items including burritos, tacos, and new offerings (Carne Asada and Red Chimichurri) and feature the chain's first Chipotlane for digital orders. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Factory of the Dead haunted house at 309 Lapeer Avenue is open now for spooky season and will welcome guests until November 8. Owner Mandy Redburn said the attraction has added new features — an indoor waiting area, a music stage, escape rooms and gellyball — making it the largest haunted attraction in Mid-Michigan. ABC 12

- ➤ Nearly 5,000 high school students from over 40 school districts attended MiCareerQuest at SVSU's Ryder Center yesterday—more than 80 employers and training providers offered hands-on learning with heavy equipment, tools and simulators in advanced manufacturing, agri-business, construction, health sciences and information technology. - ➤ Nouvel Catholic Central High School & Junior High in Saginaw Township mourned its principal, Tim Marciniak, who died Friday early in the morning after battling health challenges with his family by his side. The school canceled classes that day but will play its scheduled football game tonight and hold a Remember Night tribute for those lost over the past year. ABC 12
