- ➤ Michael Bowen from Flushing, who served as a supply clerk during the Vietnam War, was inducted Thursday night into the Michigan Military and Veterans Hall of Honor—he is known locally as Flag Man for carrying a prisoner of war flag and walking a mile for every name on the Vietnam Memorial after his service. - ➤ With SNAP benefits set to pause in Michigan until further notice, local business owner Breeana Chevalier opened Cullen’s Garden to offer affordable eggs and produce in honor of her late son Cullen, who died in a Bay City house fire in September.
