- ➤ Memorial Healthcare will convert a closed Rite Aid in Flushing into a health center to offer primary, urgent and specialty care while Grand Management and Development in Saginaw Township plans to turn a vacant Rite Aid on State Street into six retail spaces including a bank and restaurant. The township Planning Commission approved the project and it is set to open next fall. WNEM
- ➤ Bavarian Inn Restaurant in Frankenmuth will offer a Thanksgiving Harvest Buffet with seating starting at 11 a.m. on November 27 — the restaurant also will serve a take-home roasted turkey dinner that must be pre-ordered by 4 p.m. on Nov 23 with pickup on November 26 and November 27. - ➤ Bangor Township Schools will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at John Glenn High School on November 5 from 4—6 p.m. to unveil its new sports and STEAM addition, which includes an auxiliary gym, weight room, training room and SmartLab. MLive
- ➤ Hemlock Public Schools, Lockwood STEM Center and SVSU announced a new partnership that will give students more robotics and STEM opportunities. Under a five-year agreement, SVSU will offer an annual $3000 scholarship to students who finish the robotics program and enroll as first-year undergraduates. MLive

- ➤ A coalition has formed to help residents in Bay and Arenac counties who rely on food benefits now paused by the federal shutdown. The group—made up of local nonprofits, schools, and government agencies—will create an emergency food fund and work with 211 Northeast Michigan to coordinate food distribution and volunteer efforts.
