  • Michigan residents who receive SNAP benefits will now get their full allotments in November after state officials followed a federal court order from Judge McConnell. Recipients who normally get funds on the third, fifth or seventh of the month will see payments within 48 hours of MDHHS receiving funding—others will get their money on their regular schedule.  MLive
  • Michigan residents will begin receiving partial SNAP benefits tomorrow as the USDA cuts monthly payments, with some households facing a reduction that could result in $0 benefits this month. Officials say many will get reduced amounts on their regular benefit dates while urging residents to visit local food pantries for extra support.  MLive
  • The Michigan Department of Transportation held its annual parade to show that crews and vehicles are ready for winter weather as rain is expected Friday and possible snow may follow over the weekend. Plow drivers ask motorists to give extra space while teams monitor road conditions and prepare for any needed response.  WNEM
