- ➤ Gordie's Bar, a new hockey-themed bar named after Detroit Red Wings legend Gordie Howe, is set to open next month at the corner of Genesee and Washington avenues downtown. The bar will have a soft opening on Nov. 26 — then officially open on Dec. 1 while serving elevated bar food daily. ABC 12
