Rain Developing for New Week of Weather, on WNEM

Tonight into Monday will stay largely dry and mild across mid-Michigan as high pressure keeps conditions settled and quiet. While skies will remain mostly cloudy through the night, a major surge of unseasonable warmth is taking shape for Tuesday that will push afternoon highs into near-record territory, potentially reaching the lower to mid 70s, about 15 degrees warmer than typical for late October. Before things cool down, an approaching storm system will bring widespread rain and a cooler pattern change starting midweek.
